Mahogany Through and Through
The Z 79 is built around an Eastern Mahogany body with a set mahogany neck — a combination that's well regarded for delivering warmth in the mids and strong sustain. The Gloss Natural finish skips the opaque paint and lets the wood speak for itself, with the grain visible across the body and headstock.
The neck profile is a V shape, which players who prefer a vintage-style grip often find comfortable for single-note work and chord playing alike. A 24 3/4" scale length gives it a slightly shorter feel compared to a 25.5" guitar, contributing to a looser string tension that many players appreciate for bending.
Fretboard, Pickups, and Hardware
The Indian Rosewood fretboard is bound along with the body — both details that give the Z 79 a more finished, polished look than you'd expect at its price point. The fretboard has a 12" radius and 22 frets, with abalone dot inlays. It's a comfortable, familiar setup that doesn't get in the way of your playing.
