A Top That Tells a Story
The top of the Vista Bear isn't just decorative — it's genuinely handmade from a combination of tropical tonewoods including Padauk, Quilt Maple, Ebony, Spalted Maple, Ovangkol, and Koa. The result is a wildlife portrait that blends artistry with instrument building in a way you don't often see outside of custom shops.
The gloss finish and maple binding give the whole instrument a polished, refined look. Ovangkol back and sides round out the construction, lending warmth and projection to the acoustic sound.
Neck and Fretboard Feel
Luna fitted the Vista Bear with a hand-shaped mahogany neck — a comfortable, familiar feel for players coming from virtually any background. The black walnut fretboard is smooth underhand, and the pearloid moon phase inlays add a subtle visual touch that ties the whole instrument's aesthetic together without being overdone.
