An SR That Turns Heads Before You Play a Note

The Ibanez SR series has spent decades earning its reputation as one of the most player-friendly lines in bass guitar — slim, fast, and surprisingly versatile for what it costs. The SR300E keeps all of that going, and in Pink Gold Metallic, it adds a finish that's genuinely hard to walk past without doing a double-take. Rosy, shimmery, and a little unexpected — it's not a color you see on every bass rack.

This Ibanez SR300E is in Good condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech set up prior to shipping. It is in Good Condition - Dent on Back and Scratch on Top - Along with Normal Play Wear. Please review the photos carefully for full condition.

Under the finish, there's real substance: a nyatoh body, a 5-piece maple/walnut neck, a jatoba fretboard, and an active preamp with a coil-switching trick up its sleeve. This is a bass that earns its place on a gig, not just on a wall.

A Neck That Gets Out of Your Way

Ibanez built the SR line around the idea that a bass neck shouldn't fight you. The SR300E's 5-piece maple and walnut neck uses the SR4 profile — narrow at the nut (38mm) and thin front-to-back — which makes it comfortable for players moving between guitar and bass, or bassists who prefer a faster, less chunky feel. The bolt-on joint keeps things clean and stable.

The jatoba fretboard offers 24 medium frets across a 305mm radius, with white dot inlays for easy reference. Jatoba has a reddish-brown character and a tone profile that leans toward a crisp high end and full mids — a nice complement to the nyatoh body underneath it. Scale length is a standard 34 inches (864mm), so there are no surprises there.

Electronics That Give You Options

The SR300E runs a pair of PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups — passive pickups channeled through an active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ. Bass, mid, and treble controls let you dial in your tone, and the 3-way Power Tap switch is where things get interesting. Tap Mode gives you a punchy single-coil sound. Series Mode goes full humbucker for a fat, warm output. Power Tap Mode blends the two — single-coil clarity with low-end muscle from the humbucking configuration.

For the bridge, Ibanez used the Accu-cast B120, which features extra-wide string slots that can handle heavier gauge strings without fuss, and a design that keeps string-to-saddle contact consistent. String spacing at the bridge is 19mm. Hardware throughout is cosmo black.
