This one comes in Buttercream, a warm off-white finish that pairs beautifully with the maple fingerboard and gives it a vibe somewhere between vintage cool and understated elegance. This Fender Player Stratocaster is in Very Good condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech set up prior to shipping. It has a small finish imperfection noted at heel, very fine play finish scratches noted, does not come with trem bar. Please review the photos carefully for full condition.
The Player Series sits at that sweet spot where Fender's core tones are all present and accounted for — the quack, the chime, the snap — and the modern updates (9.5" radius, 22 frets, dedicated bridge tone control) make it genuinely comfortable to play every day. Note: the tremolo bar is not included with this unit. All other hardware is intact and the guitar plays beautifully at the set low action.
Alder Body, Maple Everything Up Top
The body is solid alder finished in gloss polyester — alder being the traditional Stratocaster wood choice for a reason. It delivers a balanced, articulate tone with a natural scooped midrange that lets those single-coils breathe. The Buttercream gloss finish keeps things clean and bright on the exterior.
The maple neck wears a Modern "C" profile — comfortable for most hand sizes, not too chunky, not paper-thin. The neck back gets a satin urethane finish for a smooth, grippy feel under your palm, while the headstock face carries gloss. The all-maple fingerboard (fretboard and neck are one piece of maple) gives the instrument a slightly snappier attack compared to rosewood-boarded Strats. The 9.5" radius is noticeably flatter than older Fender specs, which means comfortable chord playing and the ability to set the action low without fretting out on bends — a practical modern upgrade. The four-bolt "F"-stamped neck plate locks the neck in place securely.
Three Player Series Alnico 5 Pickups
The heart of this guitar is a trio of Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil pickups — one each at neck, middle, and bridge. Alnico 5 magnets deliver the crisp, bell-like highs and punchy midrange the Stratocaster is known for. The staggered pole pieces help balance output across all six strings, and the 5-way blade switch lets you access all five classic Strat positions including the in-between tones (positions 2 and 4) that produce that signature Strat "quack."
One notable upgrade from vintage Strat wiring: the bridge pickup gets its own dedicated tone control, something the original circuit didn't offer. That means you can dial back the brightness on the bridge pickup directly, opening up a wider range of usable tones in positions 1 and 2 — especially handy for getting into slightly warmer territory without switching pickups entirely.
2-Point Tremolo Bridge — Bar Not Included
The 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge uses bent-steel saddles and posts that make contact at just two points rather than six, which reduces friction and lets the bridge return to pitch more reliably after use. The saddles are individually adjustable for intonation and string height. Please note: this unit is missing the tremolo bar (arm). The bridge itself is fully intact and functional — you'll just need to source a standard Fender tremolo arm separately if you plan to use vibrato effects.
