Where Street Art Meets the Telecaster

There aren't many guitars that make people stop and stare before you've even played a note. The Squier Obey Graphic Telecaster HS Propaganda is one of them. Built around a mid-2000s collaboration between Fender/Squier and street artist Shepard Fairey — the mind behind the iconic "Obey Giant" campaign — this Tele wears bold Propaganda-series graphic art on a blacked-out body. It's a genuinely limited-run piece, and used examples don't come around often.

Underneath that eye-catching exterior is a functional, player-ready Telecaster. The HS pickup layout pairs a Duncan Designed HB102B humbucker at the bridge with an Alnico magnet single-coil at the neck — a combination that stretches the Telecaster's tonal range well beyond its traditional territory. The intentionally unplated, oxidized hardware gives the whole guitar a worn, industrial look that suits the Obey aesthetic perfectly.

If you've always wanted a guitar that doubles as a conversation piece — or you're a Shepard Fairey collector who also happens to play — this used example is a rare find.

This Squier Obey Graphic Telecaster HS Propaganda is in Excellent condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech set up prior to shipping. It has very minor play wear noted. Please review the photos carefully for full condition.

Graphic Art Body & Hardware

The body is agathis, finished in gloss black, with the Obey Propaganda graphic applied as a top decal — a bold, striking look that set this series apart from every other Squier on the wall. The unplated "RusticAndWorn" hardware leans into a purposefully aged, industrial aesthetic, from the bridge saddles to the die-cast tuners. There's no pickguard, which keeps the graphic front and center.

The 6-saddle strings-through-body hardtail bridge provides solid intonation and sustain, and string-through construction contributes to the Telecaster's characteristic bite and resonance.

HS Pickup Configuration

The pickup setup on this guitar is where it deviates most from a standard Tele. A Duncan Designed HB102B humbucker with Alnico magnets sits in the bridge position, delivering a fuller, warmer, higher-output voice than a typical single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup. The neck position holds a traditional Alnico magnet single-coil, giving you that cleaner, more articulate Tele character when you flip back.

Three-way blade switching covers bridge, bridge-and-neck, and neck positions. A single volume and single tone control keep things simple and straightforward — classic Telecaster layout, with a little extra grunt on tap.

Maple Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The bolt-on maple neck carries a standard C-profile contour, which is comfortable and familiar for players used to most modern Fender-family instruments. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium-jumbo frets, a 9.5" radius, and a 25.5" scale length — full Telecaster standard. Nut width is 1.65" (42mm). The 4-bolt neck plate is engraved, another small detail that ties into the Obey series' attention to finishing touches.

The 25.5" scale gives you that classic Fender feel and tension — responsive, snappy, and well-suited to the HS pickup layout's tonal range.
