Classic Les Paul Shape at a No-Fuss Price — Ready to Play
The Epiphone Les Paul 100 is the guitar that put a real Les Paul in a lot of players' hands for the first time. Single-cutaway body, dual humbuckers, Tune-o-matic bridge — all the things that make a Les Paul a Les Paul, without the sticker shock. It's a bit slimmer than the full Gibson, which actually makes it comfortable for longer playing sessions, and the bolt-on mahogany neck means it's easy to maintain down the road.
This Epiphone Les Paul 100 is in Very Good condition. It has some fine play wear finish scratches throughout, (normal for a gloss black guitar) 1 mismatched tone knob, and a small dent on back
Mahogany Body, Maple Top — The Classic LP Recipe
The Les Paul 100's mahogany body with maple top is the same tonal foundation that's driven rock and blues for decades. Mahogany contributes warmth and sustain; the maple top adds a bit of brightness and snap on the attack. The result is a guitar that handles rhythm playing and lead work with equal ease, from clean country-ish tones to a full-on crunch with the gain cranked.
The body is finished in a gloss black — Epiphone calls it "Ebony" — which shows off the single-cutaway silhouette cleanly. As the store notes, fine finish scratches are common on black gloss guitars and very much par for the course on a used instrument like this one.
Bolt-On Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard
The bolt-on mahogany neck keeps things accessible — both to play and to work on. The rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays gives you a familiar, comfortable playing surface, and the 24.75" scale length is classic Les Paul territory: slightly shorter than a Fender, which translates to a little less string tension and an easier bend. Players who move between Gibsons and Epiphones will feel right at home here.
700T/650R Humbuckers and Tune-o-Matic Bridge
Two open-coil humbuckers — the 700T at the bridge and 650R at the neck — handle the output duties. The 700T is a higher-output bridge pickup that pushes into overdrive nicely, while the 650R neck pickup has a rounder, warmer character suited to cleaner or bluesier playing. Dial them in individually with the dedicated volume and tone controls, or blend them together with the three-way selector for something in between.
The Tune-o-matic bridge pairs with a stopbar tailpiece for stable intonation and reliable tuning. Chrome hardware throughout keeps the look consistent and classic. Note: one tuning knob on this specific guitar is a non-original replacement — it functions fine, as documented in the store condition notes.
