Neck You Can Actually Move On
The bolt-on maple speed neck is graphite-reinforced and features a scarf joint for added structural integrity — both smart additions that help keep the neck stable under the stress of a floating tremolo system. The back of the neck has a painted satin black finish that keeps things moving smoothly up and down the board.
Mounted on that neck is a fully bound amaranth fingerboard with a 12"–16" compound radius. That compound radius is a real practical advantage: the 12" at the nut feels comfortable for open chords and lower-position work, while the flatter 16" up the neck means you can bend hard in the upper registers without notes choking out. Twenty-four jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays complete the package with that signature Jackson look.
HSS Pickups and Floyd Rose Action
What makes the JS34 DKA a bit of an oddball in the Jackson lineup — in the best way — is its HSS pickup configuration. Most Jacksons run HH, but this one gives you a Jackson high-output humbucking pickup at the bridge for thick, gain-saturated tones, and a pair of single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions for that cleaner, glassier range. A five-way blade switch and a single volume and tone knob round out the controls, keeping things simple without limiting your options.
The Jackson-branded Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo ties it all together. Strings lock at both the nut and the bridge saddles, so your tuning stays put even after the most aggressive whammy work.
