Mahogany Body with Quilted Maple Veneer Top
The body is a three-piece mahogany construction — a tonewood known for warmth and sustain — topped with a quilted maple veneer in Cherry Sunburst. The veneer top is a cosmetic feature, bringing the figured grain and striking color to the surface of a fundamentally mahogany instrument. The combination of mahogany mass and the Tune-o-matic-style bridge with Peavey's Dual Compression tailpiece is worth noting.
