Its classic single-cutaway design, fully hollow construction, and familiar 24-3/4" scale make it an especially comfortable choice for jazz, blues, rockabilly, and other styles where a rich, woody guitar tone is right at home.

This particular Epiphone ES-175 comes to us as a used example in Vintage Sunburst, giving it the unmistakable traditional archtop look.

This Epiphone ES-175 is in Very Good condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech setup prior to shipping. It has finish scratches and play wear noted. Please review the photos carefully for the full condition.

A Body Built for That Hollowbody Sound

The ES-175 features a fully hollow laminated maple body with a single Florentine-style cutaway. The traditional archtop design provides the open, resonant character you'd expect from a jazz guitar, while the laminate construction offers a practical balance of resonance and durability.

The 16" lower-bout design and approximately 3" body depth give the ES-175 its familiar proportions without making it excessively large or cumbersome. The Florentine cutaway also provides comfortable access to the upper frets while maintaining the classic silhouette.

The hollow construction produces a warm, woody response with plenty of acoustic character. Plugged in, the ES-175 delivers the smooth, rounded tones that make this style of guitar particularly well suited for jazz, blues, and classic styles.

Neck and Fretboard — Classic Epiphone Feel

The ES-175 features a set mahogany neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets. Its 24-3/4" scale length gives the guitar the familiar shorter-scale feel associated with classic Gibson/Epiphone instruments, while the approximately 1-11/16" nut width provides plenty of room for comfortable chord work and single-note playing.

Pearloid block/split-parallelogram-style inlays and binding add to the traditional archtop appearance, while the classic Epiphone headstock completes the vintage-inspired look.

Pickups and Hardware — Warm, Versatile Tones

The ES-175 is equipped with two Epiphone humbucking pickups, providing the warm, full-bodied response expected from a traditional jazz-oriented hollowbody. The neck pickup is particularly well suited to smooth, rounded jazz tones, while the bridge pickup offers additional clarity and definition.

A traditional control layout with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, along with a three-way pickup selector, gives you plenty of flexibility for shaping your sound.

The guitar is completed with a traditional tune-o-matic-style bridge and trapeze tailpiece, along with vintage-style tuning machines that complement the classic appearance.
