A Bound, '60s-Inspired Tele with Real Playability
There's something immediately recognizable about a bound Telecaster — those cream binding lines framing a 3-Color Sunburst finish just look right. The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Telecaster takes the double-bound aesthetic of the 1960s Fender Custom and delivers it in a guitar that plays cleanly, sounds like a proper Tele, and doesn't need a lot of apologies made for it. This one comes to us used, in Excellent condition, so you're getting the good stuff without the new price tag.
This Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Telecaster is in Excellent condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech set up prior to shipping. It has a very minor play wear. Please review the photos carefully for full condition.
The nato body carries the Telecaster silhouette faithfully, finished in gloss polyurethane with cream binding on both the top and back — a nod to the Custom models Fender produced in the '60s. Two Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups sit in the bridge and neck positions, and a 3-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body bridge with chrome barrel saddles handles intonation duties. The result is that classic snappy Tele attack you're either already chasing, or about to become obsessed with.
A Neck That Invites You to Keep Playing
The maple neck is shaped into a slim "C" profile — a go-to for players who want their fretting hand to move quickly without fighting the wood. The tinted gloss urethane finish on the neck gives it a subtle vintage warmth without feeling sticky or slow under your palm.
The Indian laurel fingerboard runs at a 9.5" radius, which puts it in comfortable territory for both chord work and single-note lines. With 21 narrow-tall frets across a 25.5" scale length, you get full-range coverage with a little extra fret height for cleaner bending. The 1.650" nut width is right in the standard Telecaster zone — familiar if you've played any modern Fender-spec guitar.
Pickups and Controls — Simple and Effective
The two Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups work through a 3-position blade switch, with separate master volume and master tone controls. Bridge position gives you that crisp, percussive Tele bite that cuts through a mix. The neck position is warmer and rounder — useful for cleaner, fuller rhythm tones. The middle position blends both for something in between.
Nickel-plated hardware, vintage-style tuning machines, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard round out the '60s-correct aesthetic. Nothing flashy — just a well-assembled, vintage-spec working guitar. No case or gig bag is included with this used unit.
