Ten Hi-Tension lugs are spaced around the shell for even tension distribution and a wide tuning range.
The 20-strand Starclassic Carbon Steel Snappy snare wires are a genuine highlight. Tama redesigned the angle of the end plates and added thinner straps on the Starclassic wires to keep the snare strands in close contact with the head as tension increases — that means more consistent sensitivity from ghost notes all the way up to full backbeats.
