The D'Addario EXL165-5 is a five-string electric bass string set built around a hybrid gauge concept — it takes the lighter high strings from the EXL170 (.045 and .065) and pairs them with the heavier low strings from the EXL160 (.085 and .105), then adds a .135 Low B to round out the five-string configuration.
