The American Plating & Manufacturing 517G is a standard marching lyre built for saxophone players. It attaches to the lyre mount on most alto and tenor saxophones, holding your sheet music securely while you march. If you're playing a Yamaha saxophone, note that this lyre will fit but will be undersized — check with us for the correct Yamaha-specific option.
The 517G is made from lacquered brass with a .144" square stem. The shaft runs 1.25" from the stem to the lyre frame, with a 2" bend and a 3/4" attachment stem. It's compatible with all standard marching music carriers. APM manufactures all of their lyres in Chicago, Illinois, and has been supplying band accessories since 1902.
