The Elixir 12000 Polyweb is a set of nickel-plated steel electric guitar strings in Super Light gauge (.009–.042), built around Elixir's original POLYWEB® coating technology. What sets Polyweb apart from most coated strings is that the coating covers the entire string — not just the outer surface, but also the gaps between the windings where dirt, sweat, and oils typically collect and kill your tone.
