D'Addario NYXL55110 Nickel Wound Bass Guitar Strings

The D'Addario NYXL55110 is a heavy gauge, 4-string bass string set built for long scale basses. It pairs a high-carbon NY Steel hex core with nickel-plated steel wrap wire — a combination designed to give you strong fundamental, enhanced tuning stability, and clear harmonic response. If you've been looking for a step up from standard nickel strings without changing your feel, this is a solid place to land.

These are the heaviest set in the NYXL bass lineup, covering a gauge range of .055–.110. They fit long scale basses with a string scale length of up to 36¼ inches, making them compatible with most standard and extended long scale instruments. The nickel-plated wrap wire gives a familiar round-wound feel while the re-engineered core-to-wrap ratio contributes to both durability and responsiveness across your whole range.

Product Features:

• 4-string heavy gauge set: .055, .075, .090, .110
• NY Steel high-carbon hex core for improved break strength and tuning stability
• Nickel-plated steel round-wound wrap wire
• Re-engineered core-to-wrap ratio for enhanced versatility
• Fits long scale basses up to 36.25" scale length
• Made in the U.S.A.
