The Elixir 12002 is a set of super light electric guitar strings built around nickel-plated steel wrap wire and Elixir's NANOWEB coating technology. The NANOWEB coating is a featherweight GORE-TEX fluoropolymer layer that wraps the wound strings fully, including the gaps between the windings where dirt, sweat, and corrosion typically do the most damage. The plain steel strings also feature anti-rust plating, so the whole set holds up — not just the wound strings.
