The Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky (P02222) is a single set of nickel-wound electric guitar strings designed for six-string electric guitar. The "Hybrid" gauge concept is straightforward: the three plain strings (.009, .011, .016) match what you'd find in a Super Slinky set, while the three wound strings (.026, .036, .046) come from the Regular Slinky lineup. The result is slightly less tension on the high strings — handy for bending and lead work — while the lower strings keep a bit more body and presence.

The wound strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core wire. The plain strings use specially tempered tin-plated high-carbon steel. These are made in the USA to Ernie Ball's manufacturing standards.
