A Fender on Stage — Without the Sticker Shock
Some guitars sit in the corner looking pretty. The Fender FA-125CE is built to go somewhere. With its single-cutaway dreadnought body and onboard electronics, this is the kind of guitar you grab when you have a gig, an open mic, or a living room jam session that might need to get louder in a hurry. The sunburst finish gives it that classic, stage-ready look that's been turning heads for decades.
The FA-125CE sits in Fender's Alternative Series — a line designed to deliver genuine Fender DNA at an approachable price. The all-laminate construction keeps things durable and consistent, while the familiar 3+3 headstock and bold dreadnought proportions make it unmistakably a Fender from across the room.
Whether you're just starting out or picking up a second guitar to leave at a friend's place, the FA-125CE punches well above its price tag — especially once you plug it in.
Big Dreadnought Sound, Cutaway Access
The dreadnought body shape is one of the most popular in acoustic guitar history for good reason: it's loud, full, and projects well even in a noisy room. Fender's take adds a single cutaway on the lower bout, so you can actually reach those upper frets without contorting your wrist. The laminated spruce top and laminated basswood back and sides deliver a balanced, responsive tone with a gloss finish that holds up to the bumps of regular playing.
At 25.3" scale length with a 1.69" nut width, the neck feels comfortable and familiar — not too wide, not cramped. The "C"-shaped Nato neck has a gloss urethane finish and a 11.81" fingerboard radius, and the walnut fingerboard itself is smooth under the fingers. Twenty frets, white dot inlays, and a crème plastic nut round out a neck that plays easily from the first chord.
Plug In and Go
The FA-125CE's FE-A2 preamp is straightforward and practical. You get volume, bass, and treble controls plus an integrated electronic tuner with an on/off switch and low battery indicator — everything you need to dial in your sound quickly before you step on stage. The Viking bridge adds a distinctive visual element while supporting solid string-to-body transfer, and chrome die-cast sealed tuners keep you in tune through a full set.
The 1-ply black pickguard and body binding keep the look clean and classic. This is a guitar designed to get out of its own way and let you focus on playing.
