The D'Addario EJ10 is D'Addario's lightest gauge of acoustic guitar strings, strung up with 80/20 Bronze — the original acoustic string alloy developed by John D'Addario Sr. and guitar maker John D'Angelico back in the 1930s. The extra light 10-47 gauging keeps tension low, which makes fretting comfortable and bending easy without fighting the strings.
The 80/20 Bronze wrap wire gives these strings a distinctly bright, crisp character with good projection — a sound that works well for recording and appeals to players who favor a more traditional acoustic tone. All six strings are wound on a hexagonally shaped high-carbon steel core, which helps the wrap wire seat securely for solid intonation and consistent feel across the set.
