D'Addario EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings

D'Addario EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings

The EXP16 is D'Addario's light-gauge coated acoustic string set, built for players who want their strings to stay fresh longer without giving up the feel and tone of phosphor bronze. The coating isn't just a layer on the outside — D'Addario bonds an ultra-fine EXP coating directly to the phosphor bronze wrap wire before it's wound onto the core, which keeps corrosion out while letting the string behave and sound like an uncoated set.

These are 6-string acoustic guitar strings in a light (.012–.053) gauge. The hex-shaped core wire is made from D'Addario's NY High Carbon Steel, which contributes to pitch stability and break resistance. The result is a string that holds its tune reliably and lasts up to four times longer than traditional uncoated strings — worth noting whether you change strings every week or every few months.

Product Features:

• Light gauge acoustic guitar strings: .012, .016, .024, .032, .042, .053
• EXP coating bonded to phosphor bronze wrap wire before winding — corrosion barrier without altering feel
• NY High Carbon Steel hex core for strength and pitch stability
• Up to 4x longer lifespan compared to uncoated strings
• Designed for 6-string acoustic guitars
• Made in the USA; comes in corrosion-resistant packaging
