The GHS Guitar Boomers have been one of the most widely used electric guitar string sets since their introduction in 1975. The GBL is the Light gauge version — a .010–.046 set wound with nickel-plated steel over a round core, built for electric guitar. The round core construction gives the wound strings a slightly softer feel and lets them vibrate more freely along the full length of the string.
Each of the six strings is individually sealed in GHS's Nitro-Pack envelope, which removes oxygen from around the metal before you ever open the pack. That means the strings arrive as fresh as the day they were wound at GHS's factory in Battle Creek, Michigan. Individual gauges are .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, and .046.
