Reduced-size body, fast neck, and silky fingerboard

Playing the D’Angelico Premier Mini DC is sheer joy. It features a reduced-size laminated maple body with a laminated maple top and a solid center block for maximum tone and sustain. Its maple neck boasts a comfortable "C" profile for the perfect blend of grip and ease of movement. Its 14-inch-radius fingerboard features 22 medium-vintage frets. This silky smooth pau ferrofretboard enables comfortable chording while facilitating technically demanding leads. The instrument’s easy hand feel is a byproduct of its 25-inch scale length, which makes bends and vibrato feel effortless, while its double-cutaway body shape gives you optimized high-register access. For rock-solid tuning stability, the Premier Mini DC is equipped with Grover Rotomatic Stairstep tuners, while a Graph Tech NuBone XL nut bolsters sustain and eliminates string binding.

The D’Angelico Premier Mini DC comes loaded with a set of Supro Bolt Buckers. These vintage-inspired pickups use Alnico II and V magnets at the neck and bridge, respectively, to churn out some seriously old-school sonics. The D’Angelico legacy

After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his own shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. After his passing, the D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, we are delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments.
