If you play a classical or nylon-string guitar and want to skip the fuss of tying traditional string ends, the Martin M260 is worth a look. These are full crystal nylon strings — ball end, normal tension — so they drop right in wherever you'd normally string up a set, no knotting required.

The set uses 80/20 bronze wrap wire on the three wound bass strings, which gives the low end a bit more brightness and cut compared to silver-plated copper wound alternatives. The treble strings are plain crystal nylon. Normal tension sits in the middle of the range — comfortable to play, easy on the fingers, and still projecting clearly across all six strings.

Gauges run .028, .032, .040 on the trebles and .030, .035, .043 on the wound strings. The ball ends make restringing quicker and more approachable, especially for players switching between sets frequently or those newer to classical-style instruments.

Product Features:

  • Crystal nylon construction — treble strings are plain nylon, bass strings are 80/20 bronze wound
  • Normal tension for a comfortable feel and balanced response
  • Ball end design for easy, fast restringing
  • Gauges: .028 / .032 / .040 (trebles) | .030 / .035 / .043 (wound)
  • 6-string full set, compatible with classical guitar
