Tonewoods Built for Balance
The body starts with solid alder — a tonewood known for its even, balanced frequency response across the lows, mids, and highs. On top of that sits a flamed maple cap that adds brightness, bite, and sustain to the overall character. It's not a veneer situation: this is a properly carved, figured maple top that contributes meaningfully to the sound and looks great doing it.
The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck brings its own personality to the mix. Maple contributes stiffness and brightness; mahogany adds warmth and sustain.
