The Vandoren V12 is one of the most recognized clarinet reeds on the market, and for good reason. This box of 10 contains strength 2.5 reeds designed for Bb clarinet, made from cane tubes with the same diameter as those used for alto saxophone reeds — which is what gives the V12 its distinctive thicker heel and cut.
Compared to Vandoren's Traditional reeds, the V12 is cut on a longer palette with a slightly thicker tip. That longer palette puts more of the reed into vibration, producing a fuller, deeper sound. The thicker tip adds body to the attack and also helps the reeds hold up longer over time. Each reed arrives individually sealed in a Flow Pack to protect it from humidity changes and keep it fresh right out of the box.
