This is part of Ibanez's PF Performance series, a long-running lineup designed to pack real features into an approachable package. The PC15ECENT specifically hits a sweet spot: a spruce top over mahogany back and sides, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, and a 25" scale length that feels comfortable for a wide range of hand sizes. It's a natural-finish guitar with a high-gloss top that gives it a clean, classic look without any flashy extras.

This item is a B-Stock guitar sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is new and has never been previously owned. The photos shown are of the exact instrument you will receive. Before shipment, our licensed technician will inspect and professionally set up the guitar to ensure it is playing its best. During our inspection, we noticed finish cracks on bridge at string slot. (see pictures) Please note, these may not be the only cosmetic imperfections. As a B-Stock instrument, there may be additional minor blemishes that are small in nature and do not affect playability or performance.
Body and Tone: Spruce Top, Mahogany Back and Sides
The PC15ECENT's spruce top is the foundation of its acoustic voice. Spruce is a go-to top wood for good reason — it has a wide dynamic range, responds well to both light fingerpicking and harder strumming, and tends to open up over time. Paired with mahogany back and sides, the result is a tone that leans warm and focused, with a smooth midrange that flatters both chord work and single-note playing.
The Cutaway Grand Concert body is notably comfortable to hold — slightly smaller and narrower than a dreadnought, which makes it easier to manage seated or standing. The cutaway gives your fretting hand easy access to the upper frets, which comes in handy when the pickup system is active and you're exploring melodic lines on stage. The high-gloss natural finish lets the wood grain show through cleanly.
Neck and Fretboard: Familiar Feel, Easy Reach
The mahogany neck on the PC15ECENT is comfortable and familiar — not too chunky, not too slim. At 42mm at the nut and a 25" scale length, it's slightly shorter than a standard dreadnought scale, which can take a little tension off the strings and makes it feel a touch easier to play for extended sessions. With 21 frets and a rosewood fretboard, intonation is stable and the playing surface has the smooth, slightly warm feel that rosewood is known for.
The chrome die-cast tuners do their job reliably, and the Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are a small detail worth noting — they're designed to be easier to pull and seat than traditional pins, which is a genuinely useful feature when you're changing strings.
Electronics: Ibanez AEQ-2T Preamp with Onboard Tuner
The onboard electronics are straightforward and practical. An Ibanez undersaddle pickup feeds into the AEQ-2T preamp, which gives you control over bass, treble, and volume from the side of the guitar. The built-in tuner is accessible without interrupting your performance — just click the tuner switch and you get a visual reference without reaching for a separate pedal or clip-on.
The system runs on a standard 9V battery. It's not a high-end boutique preamp, but it does what it needs to do: clean signal, usable EQ, and a tuner you'll actually reach for. For players gigging casually or recording simple demos, it's more than enough to work with.
