It's a self-contained acoustic performance system that handles your guitar and your voice at the same time, with enough onboard tools to run a full solo set without a single extra piece of gear.
The headline feature is Fender's proprietary Stereo Field Expansion (SFX) technology, which uses a forward-facing driver array alongside a side-radiating speaker to spread sound into a room the way that acoustic instruments actually do in real life — wide and enveloping, not just straight ahead. The effect is surprisingly convincing in small-to-medium venues.
Two channels, Bluetooth audio streaming, a built-in looper, onboard effects, and USB recording output — the Acoustic SFX II is built for the guitarist who wants to show up, plug in, and play.
Two Channels, Full Control
Both channels on the Acoustic SFX II accept balanced 1/4" – XLR combination inputs, so you can run a guitar into one and a dynamic mic into the other without an adapter in sight. Each channel gets its own independent 3-band EQ (Low, Mid, High), effects level and selection controls, and a phase switch — useful for taming feedback when you're standing in front of the amp.
Each channel also has access to eight onboard effects: Room Reverb, Hall Reverb, Echo, Delay, Chorus, Vibratone, Delay+Chorus, and Delay+Reverb. All of them are routed through the SFX circuitry and the side-firing speaker, which adds a sense of space and depth that you don't get from a standard mono speaker setup.
Loop, Stream, and Record
The built-in 90-second looper supports Record/Dub, Play/Stop, and Undo functions — enough runway to build a full rhythm part and solo over it on the fly. Combined with Bluetooth audio streaming from your phone or tablet, you can pull up a backing track or a click between songs without carrying a separate device.
On the output side, you get two XLR line outputs (selectable for Channel 1, Channel 2, stereo, or mono with ground lift) for running direct to a house PA, a 3.5mm headphone output for quiet practice or monitoring, and a USB jack for recording directly into your DAW. The 1/8" stereo auxiliary input rounds things out for playback from an external source.
Speakers and Cabinet
The Acoustic SFX II's speaker array consists of one 8" low-frequency driver, one high-frequency compression driver horn, and one 6.5" side-radiating speaker — three transducers working together to support the SFX imaging system. The cabinet is constructed from lightweight plywood with a dark brown textured vinyl covering and a leather strap handle for carry.
At 24.8 lbs., it's genuinely portable for a combo with this feature set — something that matters a lot when you're loading in and out of a venue on your own.
