Vintage Soul, Modern Playability — Built in Corona, California

If you've been looking for a Strat that feels right at home whether you're tracking clean funk parts in the studio or pushing a tube amp on stage, this is it. The American Professional Classic Stratocaster is Fender's newest USA-made workhorse, launched in late 2025 to replace the Performer series. It's all about blending the look and vibe of a golden-era Strat with the kind of playability and reliability working players actually need.

This one's finished in Faded Dakota Red — a custom-faded gloss urethane that sits somewhere between classic and lived-in. The alder body delivers that balanced, articulate Strat tone: clear highs, punchy mids, and enough low-end response to stay present in a mix. The Modern C-shaped maple neck is satin-finished for fast, comfortable playing, and the 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets makes bending strings and moving up the neck feel effortless. At 25.5 inches, the scale length is classic Fender — bright, snappy, and responsive.

Under the hood, you've got three Coastline '57 Stratocaster single-coil pickups. These are Fender's new vintage-inspired pickups, built with period-correct materials like Alnico V magnets, Formvar-coated wire, fiber bobbins, and cloth wiring — but they're slightly overwound to give you more punch and warmth than a typical vintage-spec pickup. You get all the chime, clarity, and quack you expect from a Strat, with a little extra muscle when you need it. The Greasebucket tone circuit on the bridge pickup is a smart touch: it lets you roll off treble without adding mud or losing clarity, so your tone stays defined at any volume.

This guitar is ideal for players who want the feel and tone of a classic Fender without sacrificing modern comfort. Whether you're into blues, rock, indie, country, or anything in between, the American Professional Classic Stratocaster has the versatility to handle it.

Three Coastline '57 Single-Coils with Greasebucket Tone Control

The pickups are the heart of this guitar. Fender's Coastline '57 Stratocaster single-coils are based on their Pure Vintage designs, but with a slight overwind that gives them more output and body. You're getting authentic Strat character — bright, glassy highs, articulate mids, and that signature in-between quack in positions 2 and 4 — but with enough presence to drive your amp harder without losing definition.

The bridge pickup delivers cutting, snappy tones perfect for rhythm work or lead lines that need to slice through a band mix. The neck and middle pickups offer warmer, rounder tones with that classic bell-like chime Strats are known for. The middle pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity (RWRP), so when you're in positions 2 or 4, you get hum-canceling operation along with those iconic quacky tones.

The Greasebucket tone circuit is one of Fender's cleverest designs. Unlike a traditional tone control that adds bass as you roll off the treble, the Greasebucket lets you tame the high end without muddying up your sound. Your tone stays clear and articulate, whether you're wide open or rolled back. It's a subtle feature, but once you use it, you notice the difference.

Modern C Neck and Vintage-Style Tremolo

The Modern C-shaped neck is one of Fender's most popular profiles, and for good reason. It's slim enough to feel fast, but still has enough substance to fill your hand comfortably. The satin urethane finish on the back of the neck feels smooth and broken-in right out of the case — no stickiness, just easy movement up and down the fretboard.

The rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5-inch radius, which is flatter than vintage-spec Strats but not as flat as modern shred guitars. It's the sweet spot for both rhythm playing and lead work, making chords comfortable and bends easy. The 22 medium jumbo frets give you plenty of surface area for bending notes and fretting accurately, and the rolled fingerboard edges add to the overall comfort.

The six-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo is a proven design — stable, responsive, and easy to set up. Whether you're adding subtle vibrato or divebombing into the next county, it tracks well and returns to pitch reliably. The Fender ClassicGear staggered tuners look vintage but use modern 18:1 gear ratios for smooth, precise tuning. The staggered posts increase the break angle behind the nut, which helps with tuning stability and sustain.
