D'Addario NW080 XL Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Single String .080

The D'Addario NW080 is a single .080 gauge nickel wound string from the XL Nickel Wound series — D'Addario's most widely used electric guitar string line. Whether you snapped a low string mid-session, want to experiment with a heavier gauge on one string, or are assembling a completely custom set, this single covers it.

The NW080 is round wound with nickel-plated steel over a hexagonally shaped high carbon steel core. That construction gives it a bright, defined tone with strong magnetic output and consistent intonation across the fretboard. It's made in the USA on D'Addario's proprietary machinery, which keeps quality tight from one string to the next.
