One Guitar, Two Worlds
You know that moment at a session when someone says, "We need something that sounds acoustic, but also kind of electric"? Most of the time that means hauling two guitars, swapping cables, and hoping nobody notices the dead string on the acoustic. The Fender Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster quietly solves that problem — it's one instrument with a solid Sitka spruce top, a fully chambered nyatoh body, and a dual pickup system that lets you move between unplugged warmth and amplified punch without changing guitars.
Built around the familiar outline of the Telecaster and launched as part of Fender's 2025 Standard Series, this guitar carries a distinctly acoustic personality when played unplugged, while plugged in you can lean toward natural acoustic resonance, magnetic humbucking character, or anything in between — all from a single Blend knob.
Whether you're writing late-night demos, tracking acoustic parts in the studio, or trimming your live rig down to a single instrument, the Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster is built for that kind of flexibility.
A Top That Actually Does Something
The solid Sitka spruce top isn't cosmetic — it's a functional acoustic soundboard, braced and voiced specifically for the Acoustasonic architecture. Sitka spruce brings a bright, articulate response with strong projection, which is why it's been a first-choice top wood in acoustic instrument building for generations. On this guitar, the braced top works in tandem with the fully chambered nyatoh body to generate genuine acoustic resonance, even before you plug in.
The nyatoh body and neck add warmth and a comfortable, familiar weight. The satin urethane finish keeps things tactile and quick-feeling under the hand — no high-gloss drag on the neck.
Two Pickups, One Blend Knob
The electronics setup is the heart of the Acoustasonic concept. A Fishman under-saddle piezo transducer captures the acoustic resonance of the spruce top and chambered body, translating that natural resonance into a clean, open acoustic signal. The Acoustasonic Shawbucker — a humbucking magnetic pickup designed specifically for this platform — adds a fuller, more electric-voiced character that can cut through a mix when you need it to.
A single Master Volume and a Blend control keep the interface simple. Dial the Blend toward the piezo for a fingerpicked acoustic voice, toward the Shawbucker for electric warmth, or meet somewhere in the middle for a hybrid tone that's difficult to get any other way. Chrome hardware, black plastic bridge pins, and a black and aged white rosette round out a clean, uncluttered look.
A Neck That Plays Like a Tele
The bolt-on nyatoh neck carries a Modern "Deep C" profile — the same comfortable, slightly deeper C-shape that Fender has used across its modern electric lineup. Players familiar with a Telecaster will feel right at home. The 12" fingerboard radius on the rosewood fretboard keeps chord work comfortable while allowing single-note playing without fretting out on bends. Twenty-two medium jumbo frets cover the full range you'd expect from a standard electric, and the 25.5" scale length keeps string tension and feel in Tele territory.
The nut is Graph Tech TUSQ at 1.6875" (42.86 mm) — a synthetic material that provides consistent string break and smooth tuning. A dual-action truss rod with head-adjust access makes setup straightforward, and Fender's Micro-Tilt neck adjustment at the neck plate lets you fine-tune neck angle without disassembling the guitar.
