A Compact Guitar That Doesn't Compromise
There's a certain kind of guitarist who never really stops playing — the one who brings a guitar on road trips, keeps one under the bed at the vacation house, or just wants something on the couch that's easy to grab. If that sounds like you, the Zager Travel E/N was built with you in mind. It's a 3/4-size acoustic-electric that packs a surprising amount of guitar into a smaller body, and this used example is ready for the next chapter.
This vintage Zager Travel E/N is in Excellent condition. It has a very small amount of normal play wear for an excellent condition.
Solid Top in a Travel Package
What sets the Zager Travel apart from most travel-sized guitars is that it doesn't cut corners on the fundamentals. The top is solid Sitka spruce — not laminate — which means it actually responds and opens up over time the more you play it. The back and sides are mahogany, delivering that warm, punchy midrange character that works well whether you're strumming chords around a fire or fingerpicking through something more delicate.
The body is 25% smaller than Zager's full-size guitars, which makes it easy to hold and genuinely comfortable to travel with. But the smaller footprint doesn't hollow out the tone — players often find the Zager Travel punches well above its size, especially when plugged in.
Fishman Electronics On Board
The "E" in Travel E/N means this one has a full Fishman electronics package built in: a piezo transducer, 3-band EQ, and a built-in automatic tuner. That means you can go from quiet living room playing to plugged into a PA or amp without missing a beat — and you can tune up quickly without needing a clip-on. For a travel-sized guitar, having that kind of plug-and-play flexibility is genuinely useful.
Zager's Easy Play Design
Zager has built a reputation around one idea: making guitars that are easier to play without sacrificing tone. On the Travel E/N, that shows up in several practical ways — a slim neck profile designed to feel natural in a range of hand sizes, custom string spacing that helps reduce buzzes and finger fatigue, soft-touch fret design, and an adjustable truss rod so action can be dialed in to your preference. The ultra-thin high-gloss finish also allows the body to vibrate more freely, which contributes to a fuller sound than you might expect from a guitar this size.
Hand-carved scalloped bracing further supports the soundboard's movement — a construction detail typically found on pricier instruments.
