This is Warwick's own take on a player-priced Streamer: the same iconic body shape, the same German-engineered hardware philosophy, and a P/J pickup setup that lets you cover ground from smooth and round to aggressive and defined, all in one bass.

The Streamer LX has been part of Warwick's lineup since 1996, landing squarely between the entry-level world and the high-end German Custom Shop instruments. The RockBass version makes that character available without the Custom Shop price tag — bolt-on construction, a comfortable "C"-profile maple neck, and Warwick's own MEC pickups keeping the tone decidedly in Warwick territory. This particular example comes in White, which makes it one of the sharper-looking Streamers you're likely to find used.

Body and Build: Carolena, Maple, and Wenge
The body of the Streamer LX is made from carolena — a tonewood used across Warwick's RockBass lineup for its balanced tonal character and durability. The bolt-on construction pairs that body with a 3-piece laminated maple neck featuring Ekanga veneer stripes, giving the neck added rigidity and a clean, professional look.
The wenge fingerboard is one of the most talked-about features on any Warwick instrument. It's a dense, open-grained wood with a distinctly smooth feel underhand and a tonal character that emphasizes clarity in the upper mids — something players often notice immediately when they move from a rosewood or maple board. With a 20" fingerboard radius and 24 jumbo nickel silver frets, the Streamer LX provides a comfortably playable surface across the full range of the instrument, with a nut width of 38.5 mm (1.5") and a standard 34" long scale.
Pickups and Electronics: Passive Voice, Active Control
The Streamer LX runs a passive MEC "Dynamic Correction" P/J pickup configuration — a split-coil pickup in the neck position and a single-coil in the bridge position. That P/J combination is one of the most versatile arrangements in bass guitar: the P pickup adds thickness and warmth, the J adds definition and bite, and using both together gives you a full, balanced tone with real depth.
What takes it further is the onboard active 2-band RockBass preamp. You get controls for Volume, Balance (blend), Treble, and Bass — so you can push or cut the frequencies you need without reaching for a separate EQ. The passive pickups with an active preamp setup also means the signal path stays musical even when the battery runs down; you can always bypass the preamp if needed. The 2-piece Warwick bridge and Warwick machine heads round out the hardware, keeping everything locked in tune and transferring vibration cleanly to the body.
