Body and Construction
The PAC311MS is built around a single-cutaway alder body with a laminated ash top — a combination that brings a bit of natural character and body binding to the overall look. Alder is a workhorse body wood known for its balanced tonal response: it doesn't skew too dark or too bright, which makes it versatile across a range of playing styles and amplifier setups.
The ash veneer top adds a touch of visual grain and warmth without pushing the guitar into premium territory. The single-ply body binding gives it a clean, finished appearance that's a step above many guitars in this class. It's a guitar built to be played, not admired from a distance.
Maple Neck and Fingerboard
The bolt-on maple neck features a maple fingerboard — the same combination you'd find on a classic Tele — and runs 22 frets on a 25.5" scale length. That full scale length gives you a bit more string tension than shorter-scale guitars, which many players find translates well to defined note attack and clarity, especially for clean tones and picking-intensive styles.
The fingerboard radius is approximately 13.75", which sits in a comfortable middle ground — flat enough for fast runs and bends, but still familiar to players coming from traditional vintage-radius guitars. Dot inlays keep things clean and functional.
Pickups and Electronics
The PAC311MS uses a humbucker at the neck position and a Hot Rail-style stacked single-coil at the bridge, routed through a 3-way selector switch with master volume and master tone controls. The neck humbucker delivers full, warm tones — smooth on cleans, full-bodied with gain. The Hot Rail at the bridge gives you the bite and snap you'd expect from a bridge-position pickup in a Tele-style guitar, but with more output and less single-coil hum.
This combination means the PAC311MS covers more ground than a standard Tele pickup layout, without getting complicated. The Tele-style hardtail bridge with individual saddles keeps intonation adjustable and the feel solid under the palm.
