While today’s Eclipse features a more traditional single-cutaway shape, this version stays true to the original TE-style archtop design that helped ESP gain global recognition in the late '80s.

Built for serious performance, the Eclipse '87 features neck-thru-body construction with a mahogany body and a fast, stable 3-piece maple neck. The Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets offers slick playability and precise note control, perfect for everything from classic hard rock to modern metal.

Outfitted with a classic and versatile Seymour Duncan '59 (neck) and JB (bridge) pickup combo, this guitar delivers everything from warm, vintage cleans to high-output bite. A push/pull tone control gives you coil-splitting capability for even more tonal flexibility.

on this guitar I personally did not see the blemish. However, just because I did not notice it does not mean there is not a small cosmetic flaw somewhere on the guitar. This was sold to us as a B-Stock for a reason where ever that reason is it is small in nature. (see pictures)
