The EXPPBB190GS is a custom light gauge acoustic bass string set with a nylon core overwound with EXP-coated phosphor bronze wrap wire, tuned for the feel and resonance the GS Mini Bass is designed to produce.
The nylon core gives the strings a slinky, comfortable feel under the fingers, while the phosphor bronze wrap delivers warm, balanced acoustic tone with clear low-end resonance. The EXP coating is applied to the wrap wire before winding, which means the strings play and feel like uncoated strings but last significantly longer — D'Addario rates EXP strings at a minimum of four times the lifespan of standard uncoated strings. These strings fit the Taylor GS Mini Bass and other short-scale or parlor acoustic basses with a scale length of 23.5". They do not contain tapers. Made in the USA.
