The Vandoren JUNO JSR613 is an alto saxophone reed built for student players. Vandoren — the well-known French reed maker — produces the JUNO line from the same cane and with the same standards as their other reed models, but with a cut specifically tuned for easier response right from the start.
These reeds are made from select cane grown on the Mediterranean coast and given a special cut designed to be extra responsive, helping students get a full, even sound while they're still building their technique. Each reed is individually sealed in its own humidity-balanced Flow Pack, so it plays as fresh out of the box as the day it was made.
Strength 3 sits in the middle of the JUNO range — a good starting point for most students who are moving past the earliest stages of playing and building consistency across the full range of the instrument.
