The Vandoren JUNO JSR612/3 is a 3-reed card of alto saxophone reeds in strength 2, made specifically with new and developing players in mind. JUNO reeds are made in Vandoren's factory in France, from the same cane and using the same techniques as every other Vandoren reed model. The idea is straightforward: give students a reed that works with them rather than against them, so they can focus on building their playing instead of fighting their equipment.
JUNO features an extra-responsive cut that helps students make a full sound sooner and improve much faster, designed for a free and full response right from the start — making it easier for students and band directors to fine-tune articulation, dynamics, and intonation. JUNO reeds are made from all-natural cane that is grown, harvested, dried, and cut into reeds in the same region of the world. Each JUNO reed is individually sealed to ensure every reed arrives in pristine condition. Strength 2 is a popular starting point — responsive without being too soft, and a great fit for most beginning players.
