The Spark is a 40-watt modeling combo that runs on Positive Grid's BIAS platform, giving you 33 amp models and 43 effects right out of the box. It handles electric guitar, bass, and acoustic instruments — and pairs with the free Spark app over Bluetooth for a whole second layer of features on top of the hardware controls.
Whether you're working through chord shapes on an acoustic-electric or dialing in a heavy crunch tone, this one amp covers a lot of ground without taking up much space.
40 Watts Through Twin 4-Inch Speakers
The Spark moves 40 watts of Class D power through two custom-designed 4-inch speakers in a bass-reflex (ported) cabinet. The stereo setup gives the amp a noticeably wider, fuller sound than a typical single-speaker practice amp at this size — players often find the low end surprisingly present for a 4-inch driver setup.
At just 11.46 lbs and 13.78 inches wide, it's compact enough to carry between rooms or take to a friend's place for a casual jam. A removable faux leather handle makes that easy enough that you'll actually do it.
BIAS Modeling: 33 Amp Models, 43 Effects
Positive Grid's BIAS platform is the engine behind the Spark's tone. On the hardware alone, you get 33 amp models covering clean, crunch, high-gain, acoustic, and bass voicings, plus 43 effects spanning noise gate, compressor, distortion, modulation/EQ, delay, and reverb. The top panel gives you direct knob control over Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master, Mod, Delay, and Reverb — so you can dial in a sound quickly without ever opening an app.
Four programmable preset buttons let you save your go-to sounds for quick recall, and a dedicated Tap/Tuner button keeps tuning checks within easy reach.
Smart App Features: Smart Jam, Auto Chords, Voice Control, and ToneCloud
Connect the Spark to your iOS or Android device via Bluetooth and the Spark app opens up a second tier of functionality. Smart Jam Live listens to your playing style and generates accompanying bass and drums in real time — just strum a chord progression and let it follow you. Auto Chords analyzes songs from your music library and displays the chord names as the song plays, which makes learning by ear significantly faster.
Voice control lets you call up specific amp models, artists, or genres hands-free. And through ToneCloud, you get access to over 50,000 community-created presets organized by style, artist, and genre — a handy way to find a starting tone for a style you haven't explored yet.
USB Recording and Bluetooth Streaming
The rear panel includes a USB Type B port that functions as a 1-in/2-out audio interface, so you can record your guitar tone — complete with amp models and effects — directly into your DAW without any additional hardware. An 1/8-inch headphone output lets you practice silently, and an 1/8-inch aux input handles playback from a phone or tablet when you want to play along with a reference track.
Bluetooth audio streaming also means the Spark doubles as a hi-fi speaker when you're not playing — useful for streaming backing tracks or just listening to music in the room.
