Rather than routing your guitar through a separate amp and then out to headphones, the Spark NEO puts the amp inside the headphones themselves. It connects wirelessly to your guitar via a proprietary 2.4GHz transmitter, delivering an ultra-low latency playing experience — 3.8ms, per Positive Grid — so nothing feels sluggish or disconnected from your playing. If the transmitter ever needs a charge, there's also a built-in 1/4" input so you can plug in with a standard guitar cable.

Sound That Actually Feels Like an Amp
The Spark NEO uses custom-designed 40mm drivers built around an advanced bio-fiber (ABF) diaphragm. Positive Grid engineered these headphones specifically for guitar — not adapted from consumer audio headphones — with passive noise isolation designed to keep your tone focused and the outside world at bay.
The headphone output is optimized specifically as a headphone-style guitar amplifier with ultra-low latency, and tuned for the guitar playing experience rather than general music listening. The result is a playing feel that responds to your pick attack and dynamics the way a real amp should, rather than flattening everything into a generic headphone sound.
The Spark NEO also doubles as a Bluetooth audio device for music streaming when you're not playing guitar — handy for playing along to reference tracks or just listening while you're working through a lesson.
AI Tools and a Massive Tone Library
The Spark app (iOS and Android) is the real engine behind the NEO. Connect via Bluetooth and you get full access to 33 amp models, 43 effects (noise gate, compressor/wah, distortion, modulation/EQ, delay, reverb), and over 100,000 user-created tones on ToneCloud. Save your four favorites directly to the headphones for quick access without touching your phone mid-session.
Spark AI lets you describe the tone you're after and dials it in for you automatically — useful for dialing in a starting point without scrolling through hundreds of presets. Auto Chords analyzes any song playing on your device and displays the chord changes in real time, which makes it easy to learn and jam along. There's also a built-in tuner accessible through the app.
If you're already in the Spark ecosystem, the NEO pairs with Spark Control and Spark Control X footswitches through the app for hands-free preset switching.
Built for Portability
The Spark NEO features a compact, foldable design and a rechargeable battery rated for up to 6 hours of guitar play (or up to 8 hours of Bluetooth audio streaming alone), with USB-C charging. The headphones weigh 366g (about 0.80 lbs). Both the headphones and the wireless transmitter charge via USB-C.
The overall build follows the Spark aesthetic — rubberized finish, aluminum logo badge, ergonomic ear cushions with interior red detailing. It's recognizably a Spark product, just in a form factor that fits in a bag and doesn't need a power outlet.
