Stereo Sound From a Cabinet This Small? Really.
The Spark Mini runs a 10-watt Class D amplifier through two custom-designed 2-inch speakers angled slightly apart, producing a genuine stereo spread from a single compact cabinet. A passive radiator on the bottom handles low-frequency reinforcement, delivering bass response that would normally require a much larger enclosure.
Maximum output is rated at 90 dB SPL at 1 meter — more than enough for bedroom practice, living room jamming, and even outdoor use. The total impedance is 4 ohms, and the cabinet principle is passive radiator design. For a 3.3-pound amp, the physical audio engineering here is legitimately clever.
33 Amps, 43 Effects, and a Smart App That Learns With You
Out of the box, the Spark Mini comes loaded with four programmable preset slots — Custom, Solo, Lead, and Rhythm — ready to play without touching a phone. When you do open the free Spark app (iOS and Android), the full picture opens up: 33 amp models and 43 effects covering noise gate, compressor, distortion, modulation/EQ, delay, and reverb, all powered by Positive Grid's BIAS tone engine. The ToneCloud community library gives you access to thousands of additional presets created by other players.
The app also includes Smart Jam, which listens to your playing and automatically generates bass and drum backing tracks to play along with — no setup required. The Auto Chords feature analyzes songs in real time and displays the chord chart as the music plays, which makes learning songs by ear a lot more approachable. You can loop sections, slow down the tempo, and work through tricky passages at your own pace.
Connectivity Built for How You Actually Play
Wired connections include a standard 1/4-inch guitar input, a 1/8-inch aux input for external audio sources, and a 1/8-inch headphone/line output for silent practice or direct recording. Bluetooth 5.0 handles wireless audio streaming from your phone or computer — stream a backing track, play along, and the amp handles both sources simultaneously.
The USB-C port doubles as a charging connection and a full USB audio interface for recording: 1 input and 2 outputs at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit, compatible with macOS and Windows. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of play time on a charge, so you're not hunting for an outlet every session. An optional Spark Control wireless footswitch is available separately for hands-free preset switching.
