Your Spark Amp Just Got a Whole Lot Louder

If you've been living with one of Positive Grid's Spark practice amps — the Spark 40, Spark MINI, or Spark GO — you already know those amp models sound great at bedroom volumes. But what happens when you need to fill a rehearsal space, hit the stage, or just stop compromising on volume? That's exactly where the Spark CAB comes in. It's a 140-watt powered FRFR cabinet built specifically to extend the Spark ecosystem from your living room to the gig.

The CAB plugs directly into your Spark amp via a dedicated 3.5mm stereo input, so every amp model, effect, and preset you've already dialed in comes through exactly as intended — no tone-coloring, no surprises. And because it's a full-range, flat-response (FRFR) design, it's equally at home with third-party modelers, floorboard processors, and any other gear with a line-level output.

The Pearl finish matches the Pearl versions of the Spark 40, Spark MINI, and Spark GO, so if you've already got one of those on your desk, this cabinet looks like it was always meant to be sitting next to it. Whether you're finally ready to play at real volume or just want a more complete rig, the Spark CAB is a natural next step.

140 Watts of FRFR Power in a Compact Box

At the heart of the Spark CAB is a 10-inch woofer paired with two high-frequency dome tweeters, all driven by a built-in 140-watt Class D amplifier. The FRFR design means the cabinet is intentionally "transparent" — it reproduces what your amp simulator or modeler sends to it without adding its own character to the sound. That's the whole point of FRFR: what you hear from your modeling software is what comes out of the speaker.

The frequency response runs from 45Hz to 20,000Hz, and the cabinet can hit up to 117dB RMS — plenty of headroom for rehearsals and small-to-mid-sized gigs. The cabinet principle is bass reflex, which helps the 10-inch driver produce a fuller, more extended low end than you'd typically expect from an enclosure this size. Players often find this gives the CAB a satisfying "speaker pushing air" feel that compact practice amps can't replicate.

Connectivity That Goes Beyond the Spark Ecosystem

The back panel is thoughtfully laid out for real-world use. A dedicated 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo input handles the direct connection to any Spark series amp. Beyond that, you get two mono XLR/TRS combo inputs — accepting both 1/4" and XLR connectors — which means you can plug in a dynamic microphone, a keyboard, a floorboard processor, or virtually any line-level source. A balanced mono XLR output lets you route signal to a front-of-house PA or chain to a second Spark CAB for a stereo spread.

Two handy extras round out the rear panel: a USB-C output (5V/2A) that can charge a Spark MINI, Spark GO, or any mobile device, and a 19V DC output to power a Spark 40. That means in a pinch, the CAB can serve as the sole power source for your entire Spark rig. There's also a contour switch that gently boosts low and high frequencies for better balance at lower listening volumes, plus a ground lift switch to chase away hum when connecting to a PA or mixing board.

Built to Move, Built to Last

The Spark CAB is constructed from MDF — the same material used in countless quality speaker enclosures — and finished in Pearl Tolex with a grille cloth selected to match the Spark series aesthetic. Two inset carry handles keep the profile slim and make it comfortable to move without the cabinet digging into your hands. At approximately 30 lbs and 19 inches tall at its largest dimension, it fits in a back seat or trunk without much fuss.

It's worth noting that the Spark CAB is designed for use with digital sources: amp simulators, modelers, the Spark series amps, and instruments with a direct output. It is not compatible with traditional passive speaker loads from tube amp heads, as Positive Grid notes the power transfer could damage both units. For everything else in the digital world, it's a flexible, well-connected workhorse.
