The "Tuxedo" Les Paul, Ready to Work
There's a reason the Les Paul Custom has been called the "tuxedo" Les Paul since Les Paul himself requested it back in 1954 — it's the dressed-up, buttoned-down version of an already legendary guitar. Ebony finish, gold hardware, multi-ply binding everywhere you look. This used Epiphone Les Paul Custom delivers that full classic look and feel at a fraction of what a new one commands.
This Epiphone Les Paul Custom is in Good condition. The guitar is fully functional and will go through a full tech set up prior to shipping. It has a scratches, marks, a few small dents, and moderate play wear noted. Please review the photos carefully for full condition.
Under the hood, you get a traditional all-mahogany body, a mahogany neck with Epiphone's 60s SlimTaper profile, and a genuine ebony fingerboard — a combination that produces the warm, thick midrange the Les Paul format is famous for. Pair that with a set of ProBucker humbuckers voiced after vintage '50s Gibson PAF pickups, and you've got a guitar that covers a lot of ground from clean blues to full-on rock. It comes to us from our own used inventory, has been played and loved, and will get a full tech setup before it ships to you.
All-Mahogany Body with That Classic Les Paul Voice
The body on this guitar is solid mahogany — no maple cap on the standard Custom model — which gives it a slightly warmer, rounder character than a carved-top Les Paul. The 5-ply binding on the body, headstock, and fingerboard is one of the hallmarks of the Custom spec, lending it a formal, formal look that still holds up on any stage.
The set neck joint keeps the mahogany neck firmly connected to the body for strong sustain and resonance. At 24.75" scale length with a 1.693" (43mm) nut width and a 60s SlimTaper profile, this neck is built for speed and comfort over long playing sessions. The genuine ebony fingerboard adds a smooth, slightly fast feel underhand.
ProBucker Humbuckers and Clean Electronics
Epiphone's ProBucker-2 (neck) and ProBucker-3 (bridge) humbuckers are voiced after classic '50s Gibson PAF-style pickups. They run through CTS electronics — a dual volume, dual tone control layout with a 3-way pickup selector switch — giving you precise, reliable control over your tone. The Graph Tech NuBone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain right off the nut.
The LockTone ABR-style bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece anchor everything together, contributing to the resonance and sustain that solid mahogany Les Pauls are known for. Grover Rotomatic tuners keep you in tune reliably, and all hardware is finished in gold — from the tuner buttons to the pickup covers and bridge saddles.
Dressed for the Stage
The pearloid block inlays up the neck, the split-diamond headstock inlay, the gold Epiphone logo — the Custom spec earns its reputation for looking the part. The Ebony (black) finish is a classic pairing with gold hardware; it's understated and bold at the same time, and it reads clearly under stage lighting. Whether you're playing through a clean amp and working on chord work or cranking into overdriven territory, this guitar covers both convincingly.
