Unlike the traditional Widow burst finish, this example features a full Purple Widow gloss finish that showcases the incredible depth and movement of the hand-picked quilt maple without fading into a darker edge. Combined with premium Custom Shop craftsmanship and carefully selected specifications, this is an instrument built for the player or collector who wants something truly unique.

Beneath its remarkable appearance is everything you'd expect from Gibson's highest level of craftsmanship: a weight-relieved mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, and the legendary pairing of 490R and 498T humbuckers. A Hand-Selected 7A Quilt Maple Top

The centerpiece of this guitar is its hand-selected 7A quilt maple top, personally chosen for its exceptional figuring. Quilt maple of this caliber is among the most visually dramatic woods Gibson uses, producing a three-dimensional appearance that shifts with every change in lighting and viewing angle.

Finished in Purple Widow (Non-Burst) Gloss, the transparent purple allows every inch of the quilt figuring to remain visible beneath the nitrocellulose lacquer. Unlike a burst finish, the consistent color across the top lets the wood itself become the star of the instrument.

The black Custom headstock with split diamond inlay, gold hardware, and multi-ply binding complete a classic Les Paul Custom appearance while giving this build a distinctly modern personality.
