A Les Paul with a Mahogany Twist

Most Les Pauls pair a mahogany body with a maple top — it's been the formula since 1952. This one swaps the maple for a mahogany top, giving you a solid mahogany build front-to-back. The result? A warmer, more midrange-focused voice that shares tonal DNA with some Les Paul Custom models. If you've ever wanted a Les Paul with a bit more punch in the mids and a slightly thicker fundamental, this is it. The TV Yellow finish adds a touch of vintage Gibson flair that recalls the Junior and Special models from the golden era.

Everything else is pure Les Paul Standard 60s. You get the comfortable SlimTaper neck profile, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, and a pair of 60s Burstbucker pickups that deliver classic humbucker tones with a little extra bite. This guitar feels familiar but sounds distinct — a great choice if you want Les Paul versatility with a voice that stands out from the maple-topped crowd.

All-Mahogany Build for Warm, Midrange Focus

The Les Paul Standard 60s Mahogany Top has a solid mahogany body with a mahogany top replacing the usual maple top, resulting in a slightly warmer, more midrange-focused tone. This all-mahogany construction shifts the tonal balance away from the bright snap of maple and toward a thicker, more compressed attack. You'll notice fuller mids, strong sustain, and a resonance that emphasizes body and warmth. The non-weight-relieved solid body adds to the sustain and natural compression, giving you that classic Les Paul heft and response.

The body is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, which lets the wood breathe and ages beautifully over time. The TV Yellow finish is a nod to Gibson's 1950s Junior and Special models, offering a bold, vintage aesthetic that pairs perfectly with the all-mahogany tonewood choice.

60s SlimTaper Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard

The mahogany neck features a 60s-style SlimTaper profile and a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The SlimTaper profile is fast and comfortable without feeling thin — it's a versatile shape that works equally well for rhythm playing and lead work. The fingerboard has a 12-inch radius and 22 frets, giving you enough room for bends and solos while maintaining comfortable chord shapes lower on the neck.

The nut is Graph Tech with a width of 1.69 inches, and the scale length is 24.75 inches — classic Les Paul specs. The set neck joint provides excellent sustain and resonance, transferring string energy directly into the body for maximum tone and sustain.

60s Burstbucker Pickups and Premium Hardware

This guitar is equipped with Gibson Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) humbucking pickups. These pickups are based on the original PAF humbuckers from the late 1950s, offering warm lows, articulate mids, and clear highs. The slightly unbalanced coil windings give you that vintage character — a bit of grit and bite that modern humbuckers often lack. The 60s Burstbucker pickups are wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, giving you smooth, musical control over your tone and preserving the clarity of your signal.

Hardware includes a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons. The ABR-1 bridge is a no-nonsense design that offers excellent intonation and sustain, while the Grover tuners provide stable, reliable tuning. Gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors complete the classic early-60s Les Paul aesthetic.
