The YTR-8335IIRS sports a .459" medium-large bore — the sweet spot for players who want a big, open sound without sacrificing responsiveness in the upper register. That bore feeds into a one-piece, 4-7/8" yellow brass bell with an annealed design that optimizes resistance, delivers a powerful tonal core, and improves accuracy of slotting. Yellow brass is the classic choice here: clear, projecting, and present without going harsh.
The one-piece bell construction means no seam interrupting the vibration path — the bell is a continuous extension of the instrument's material, contributing to pure, uniform resonance.
