D'Addario NW018 XL Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Single String .018

The D'Addario NW018 is a single .018 gauge nickel wound string from the XL series — D'Addario's best-selling electric guitar string line. It's a round wound string, meaning a nickel-plated steel wrap wire wound over a hexagonally shaped high carbon steel core. This single string is handy as a direct replacement when you break a string mid-set, or for building out a custom gauge set that fits your playing style.

The .018 wound gauge is commonly used as a wound third (G) string, giving players who prefer the feel and tone of a wound G a drop-in option without buying a whole new set. The hex core construction helps keep intonation consistent and tuning stable across the neck.

Product Features:

• Hexagonally shaped high carbon steel core
• Part of D'Addario's XL Nickel Wound series
• Single string — ideal as a replacement or for custom sets
• Made in the USA
