Built to thrill, Ibanez's Gio GSR200PC distills looks, tone, and playability into a pummeling powerhouse of low-end deliverance. This Gio's tonewood combination — an okoume body, maple neck, and purpleheart fretboard — supplies a sonic palette that’s teeming with growling basses, punchy mids, and singing trebles, as full-spectrum brightness keeps your output voiced with power and presence in every register. For bassists at Sweetwater, it’s the instrument's contoured shape and slim neck profile that make this such a rock-solid workhorse, providing you with comfort and playability. Sonically, this Gio GSR200PC gives you the best of both worlds: one Dynamix J-style and one Dynamix P-style pickup, bringing both of their recognizable tones to your fingertips. Further, an active Phat II EQ adds phenomenal girth to your sound, while an eye-catching PB Canvas Art Grain Top promises to stand out on the stage. With this Ibanez Gio GSR200PC electric bass guitar in your hands, you'll keep the band grooving all night long!

Ibanez: a brief history

Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when it started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the “Ibanez Salvador” name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez began manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when it started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez stopped producing derivative instruments and began manufacturing the innovative original guitar and bass designs that the company is now known for. Ibanez is also famous for its effect pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer.

This item is a "B-Stock Guitar" directly from the manufacturer. It is NEW Stock that has never been owned. Pictures are of the actual guitar you will receive.

A "B-Stock Guitar" is a guitar that won't have structural or playability issues but could possibly have some particular minor cosmetic flaw which can keep it from passing the rigorous inspection process put in place by the guitar manufacturer. These guitars do not come with manufacture warranty.

we will have our licensed tech go over the guitar and set it up for you. On this guitar Ibanez states it is B-Stock due to flaw on top sand through in poly. (see pictures) that's not to say its the only defect that causes it to be a b-stock but the one ibanez identified.
