That's exactly what the Yamaha TAS3 C TransAcoustic delivers. Yamaha's second-generation TransAcoustic system uses two internal actuators to transmit reverb, chorus, delay, and loop effects directly through the guitar's body and out into the air around you. The effect doesn't live in a box on the floor. It lives in the wood.

Pair that technology with an all-solid concert cutaway body — Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides — and you have an acoustic that sounds genuinely great before any effects are even switched on. The Sand Burst finish adds a warm, understated visual flair to match.

Whether you're sketching song ideas at home, running through a set before a gig, or looping a chord progression under your own melody, the TAS3 C is built to keep up with your process from first idea to final take.

All-Solid Construction With A.R.E. Technology

The TAS3 C is built with a solid Sitka spruce top treated with Yamaha's A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process — a proprietary wood treatment that replicates the tonal characteristics of naturally aged tonewoods. The result is a top that responds with warmth and openness right out of the box, rather than needing years of playing-in time. Paired with solid mahogany back and sides, the body delivers a balanced, full-bodied voice with the warmth mahogany is known for.

The concert cutaway body shape sits comfortably and offers a well-focused midrange tone that works especially well for fingerpicking and singer-songwriter styles. The Venetian cutaway extends upper-fret access without compromising the body's acoustic resonance.

Built-In Effects, Looper, and Bluetooth — No Gear Required

The heart of the TAS3 C is Yamaha's TransAcoustic System76. Two actuators installed inside the body resonate in response to the strings, projecting the effects acoustically through the instrument itself. You get reverb, chorus, and delay with simple onboard controls, plus a built-in looper with a tap sensor that lets you capture and layer phrases without touching a phone or a pedal. Tap the body, build your loop, play over it — all in one guitar.

Bluetooth audio capability means you can stream music from a phone or tablet directly through the guitar body. Use it for playing along with reference tracks, practicing to a backing track, or just filling a room with sound. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a magnetic charging connector powers the electronics, giving you up to approximately 5.5 hours of use per charge. The TAG Remote app (iOS and Android) allows deeper parameter editing for the onboard effects.

Playability and Hardware

The TAS3 C features a mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard with a 400mm (15 3/4") radius — a comfortable, slightly flatter profile suited to a wide range of playing styles. The 650mm (25 9/16") scale length and 44mm (1 3/4") nut width fall right in the familiar range for players moving over from a standard dreadnought. Open-gear tuners in champagne gold add a refined visual touch and offer smooth, reliable tuning.

The ebony bridge and bridge pins match the fingerboard material for a cohesive look and a firm, well-defined tone transfer from string to body. A transparent pickguard keeps the Sand Burst finish visible while protecting the top. Gloss body finish and matte neck finish give you a polished look up front with a fast, comfortable feel in the fretting hand.

Product Features:

Body: Concert cutaway-style, all-solid construction

Top: Solid Sitka spruce with Yamaha A.R.E. treatment

Back & Sides: Solid mahogany

Neck: Mahogany with matte finish

Fingerboard & Bridge: Ebony; 400mm (15 3/4") radius

Scale Length: 650mm (25 9/16"); Nut Width: 44mm (1 3/4")

Electronics: TransAcoustic System76 — reverb, chorus, delay, looper, line out, tap sensor

Bluetooth: Audio streaming directly through the guitar body via smart device

Power: Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with magnetic charging connection

Tuners: Open-gear champagne-gold

Finish: Gloss body, Sand Burst

Brand: Yamaha

Model: TAS3 C TransAcoustic

SKU: TAS3CSDB

Condition: New

Since 1872, C.A.
