jampack-grand-concert-acoustic-guitar-package
Ibanez IJVC50 Jampack Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar

A Complete Starting Point for the New Guitar Player

Sometimes the hardest part of learning guitar isn't finding the motivation — it's figuring out exactly what you need to get started. Ibanez takes that guesswork off the table with the IJVC50 Jampack, a Grand Concert acoustic guitar built for players who are just finding their footing. The body is sized a little smaller than a full dreadnought, which tends to make it easier to hold and reach around, especially if you're still getting used to what an acoustic guitar even feels like in your lap.

The IJVC50 centers on a Grand Concert acoustic guitar with a spruce top over meranti back and sides, a nyatoh neck, and a nandu wood fretboard and bridge. It's a straightforward instrument with honest materials — no frills, no shortcuts dressed up with fancy names. The open pore natural finish gives it a clean, unfussy look that's easy to pick up and play without overthinking it.

Whether you're buying this for yourself or for someone who just said "I want to learn guitar," this is a sensible, well-considered place to begin.

Grand Concert Body — Comfortable and Focused

The Grand Concert body shape traces its roots to older orchestral acoustic designs — instruments built to project clearly without overwhelming the player. Compared to a dreadnought, it's a bit more compact, with a focused midrange response that works well for fingerpicking patterns, folk-style strumming, or simply learning basic chords without fighting a huge body.

The 25-inch (634mm) scale length keeps string tension at a manageable level, and the 42mm nut width gives you enough room to form chords cleanly. The fretboard radius is 250mm, which is on the flatter side and can help with chord shapes and basic lead work as you develop your technique. With 21 frets on board, you have plenty of room to explore the neck as your playing grows.

Neck and Fretboard

The neck is made from nyatoh, a stable and workable tonewoood that Ibanez has used across several of its entry-level instruments. It joins the body at the 14th fret, which is standard for acoustic guitars and keeps the upper frets accessible when you need them. Neck thickness runs 20mm at the first fret and 21mm at the seventh — a comfortable, gradually thickening profile that most beginning players find easy to wrap their hand around.

The fretboard and bridge are both nandu wood, a material Ibanez uses as a practical and consistent alternative to rosewood at this price point. White dot inlays mark the standard positions, giving you clear reference points as you learn the neck. Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins — with their distinctive bulb-shaped ends — make restringing noticeably easier than traditional pins, which is a small but genuinely useful detail when you're still figuring that process out.

Tuning and Hardware

Chrome covered tuners handle tuning duties, and they do so reliably enough for daily practice and casual playing. The guitar ships with a standard .012–.053 gauge string set in standard E-to-E tuning, which is a good middle-ground choice for acoustic beginners — not too stiff, not too floppy. String spacing at the bridge is 11mm, consistent with standard acoustic string spacing.

Every Ibanez Jampack guitar is individually inspected before it leaves the factory, which is worth noting at this price point — quality control on entry-level instruments isn't always a given, and Ibanez takes it seriously here.

Product Features:

Body Shape: Grand Concert

Top: Spruce

Back & Sides: Meranti

Neck: Nyatoh

Fretboard & Bridge: Nandu Wood

Scale Length: 634mm / 25"

Nut Width: 42mm

Frets: 21

Tuners: Chrome Covered

Bridge Pins: Ibanez Advantage™

Finish: Open Pore Natural

String Gauge: .012/.016/.024/.032/.042/.053

Brand: Ibanez

Model: IJVC50 Jampack Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar Package

SKU: IJVC50

Condition: New

Since 1872, C.A.
