The Ibanez PF1512NT delivers exactly that, wrapped in a familiar dreadnought body that sits comfortably in your hands whether you're strumming open chords around a campfire or tracking rhythm parts for a recording. It's the kind of guitar that makes you want to dig out every jangly song you've ever loved.

Built around Ibanez's Performance Series DNA, the PF1512NT pairs a spruce top with a nyatoh back, sides, and neck, giving you a balanced tonal foundation that handles both light fingerpicking and full strumming. The natural high-gloss finish keeps things clean and classic — nothing flashy, just a good-looking guitar ready to work.

If you've been curious about 12-string playing but haven't wanted to invest in something boutique before you're sure it's for you, the PF1512NT is a smart place to start — or a practical second 12-string for a player who doesn't want to take their main axe to a gig.

This item is a B-Stock guitar sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is new and has never been previously owned. The photos shown are of the exact instrument you will receive. Before shipment, our licensed technician will inspect and professionally set up the guitar to ensure it is playing its best. During our inspection, we noticed Flaws (discoloration) in binding player side - neck. (see pictures) Please note, these may not be the only cosmetic imperfections. As a B-Stock instrument, there may be additional minor blemishes that are small in nature and do not affect playability or performance.

A Dreadnought Built for the Full 12-String Voice

The PF1512NT wears the dreadnought body shape — one of the most time-tested acoustic formats for a reason. The broad lower bout and full depth give the guitar plenty of internal air volume, which 12-string playing genuinely benefits from. You get the projection and body that doubled courses need to bloom properly, rather than sounding thin or compressed.

X-bracing inside the top helps keep the guitar responsive and structurally sound under the added tension of 12 strings. The ivory body binding adds a clean visual frame around the edges and a bit of extra protection where it counts. The black and white multi-rosette around the soundhole is a tidy finishing detail that keeps the overall look grounded without being plain.

Neck, Fretboard, and Playability

The nyatoh neck is one of the PF1512NT's more underappreciated features. Nyatoh is a dense tropical hardwood with a tonal character often compared to mahogany — warm in the low-mids with good sustain transfer into the body. The PF neck profile is designed to be comfortable across the hand, which matters on a 12-string where you're managing more strings per position.

The nut width comes in at 45mm, giving the paired courses enough room to breathe without pushing the neck into unwieldy territory for chord players. Scale length is 650mm (25.6"), which is fairly standard for a steel-string dreadnought and keeps string tension manageable. Twenty frets give you the full range you'd expect for rhythm and lead work. Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are included — they're designed to prevent over-insertion and make string changes noticeably easier, a real-world convenience that 12-string players (who change strings more often) will appreciate.

Hardware and Finish Details

Chrome die-cast tuners handle the task of keeping twelve strings in tune. Die-cast construction means more consistent gearing and a sturdier build compared to less expensive open-gear options. The natural high-gloss finish covers the entire guitar — top, back, sides, and neck — giving the spruce and nyatoh a clear, polished look that shows off the natural grain.

The guitar ships with Ibanez IACS12C coated bronze strings, which are designed to hold up longer under regular play — a thoughtful inclusion on an instrument where string changes involve twice as many strings as usual.

Product Features:

Body Shape: Dreadnought

Top: Spruce with X bracing

Back & Sides: Nyatoh

Neck: Nyatoh (PF profile)

Fretboard & Bridge: Nandu wood

Scale: 650mm / 25.6" with 45mm nut width

Frets: 20

Tuners: Chrome die-cast

Bridge Pins: Ibanez Advantage™ (anti-slip, easy-change design)

Strings: Ibanez IACS12C coated bronze, 12-string set

Finish: Natural high-gloss on top, back, sides, and neck

Binding: Ivory body binding; black and white multi-rosette

Brand: Ibanez

Model: PF1512NT

SKU: PF1512NT-2ND|3U09SA250100217

Condition: B-Stock

Since 1872, C.A.
